900 North Michigan
The skyscraper in Chicago was complete in the year 1989. The building has the unique honour of being the seventh tallest in the city of Chicago. This makes this building the 25th tallest in the United States of America.
The floor count of this tower was indeed a reflection of the skyscraper it is. AT a floor count of 66 floors the building stands tall at a height of 871 feet from the ground level. The place was design as a sister building to the Water tower place. It is also a vertical mall of its kind and was only the second of its kind in the city of Chicago.
The building holds a flock of shops and thus is a famous mall. The exterior of the tower is clad in the lime stone which gives a very fine look to the outside of the building and thus is a real treat to watch this building both in day and in night.
The building has a traditional steel structure on which the concrete frame was made. The outside of the building has been given a very different look from the outside by virtue of its roof. The four different lanterns on the top which are lit at night surely give a very unique look to this tower and thus it’s a place frequently visited by both the locals and the tourists.
The green glass fixed on the exterior of the building surely gives a unique look to the overall effect of the building.
